Colin Toms & Partners carried out the detailed structural design and
construction phasing for a vertical extension of an existing industrial
building at Tilbury Docks, Essex.

The building provides maintenance workshop facilities for Container
Straddle Carriers. With the introduction of new, taller Straddle Carriers
came the requirement to raise the workshop from 18 m clear height
to 25 m clear height.
